Jim has an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and is a CFA® charter holder, CFA Institute. He founded Rhodes Investment Advisory in 1996, which merged with American Money Management in 2006. He was previously a Senior Vice President of a $2.5 billion family of mutual funds. In 1991, Jim was recognized by the industry trade magazine Investing as one of the top 25 retirement fund officers in the country. He has published numerous articles on investments including, “Is Gold an Institutional Investment?”, “To Hedge or Not to Hedge?” (currency risk), and “Setting Performance Goals in a Generally Efficient Market”.
