When we panic we no longer think about the long-term. We make short-term emotional decisions that make us feel good immediately but can harm our long-term goals. Especially with investing. So how can we be like John Glenn who’s heart rate barely broke 100 bpm before being launched into space on top of a converted ICBM missile? How can we create an environment that favors long-term thinking and reduces the chance we make a short-term emotion-based decision?
